As one of the founding partners of Bunda Stutz & DeWitt, PLL Barbara Stutz has over 20 years of experience in the areas of product liability litigation and multi-jurisdiction mass tort litigation management. She represents local and national clients in personal injury and toxic tort cases with an emphasis on defending asbestos related claims. Her experience includes coordinating defense efforts among diverse local counsel, developing and managing indemnity and defense budgets and overseeing the implementation of defense strategies in numerous jurisdictions on behalf of a Fortune 500 client.
Ms. Stutz is an active member in a number of professional and community service organizations. She is a member of the American, Ohio, Ohio Women’s, Toledo and Toledo Women’s Bar Associations. She has served on numerous bar committees and was a charter member of the Toledo Women’s Bar Association, having served as its second president.
Ms. Stutz has also been actively involved in several organizations which provide free legal services to the poor. She is a long time member of the Board of Trustees for the Toledo Legal Aid Society, having served as its president for two years. She also served on the Boards of Legal Services of Northwest Ohio and Advocates for Basic Legal Equality.
She is admitted to practice in the Ohio State Courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the United States Tax Court. She earned an “AV” rating, the highest rating awarded by the Martindale-Hubble attorney rating organization.
Ms. Stutz received her B.E. from the University of Toledo and her J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law.
