Our firm actively represents the insured's of major national property and casualty insurers throughout Ohio, and is experienced in the policies and procedures involved in this type of representation.
Many of the country’s prominent insurers retain us to represent their insured's in all manner of complex litigation, including toxic tort claims, auto accidents, premises liability, products liability actions, general comprehensive liability and large excess claims. The experienced insurance litigation attorneys at Bunda Stutz & DeWitt are thoroughly familiar with the responsibilities of insurance defense counsel and the needs of our insurance clients for timely and complete information. We are familiar with the often complex company policies regarding claim analysis, budgeting, reporting and billing (electronic or paper). Although in other instances our corporate clients retain us directly, we have good working relationships with many insurance claims personnel and are able to provide for both the timely reporting of information and the administration of defense activities so that they comply with the requirements of the insurers who are responsible for the payment of the attorneys’ fees and indemnity involved.

Our firm also represents insurance agents who become involved in errors and omissions lawsuits, and we represent insurance companies in declaratory judgment actions and lawsuits arising out of insurance coverage disputes.
We have handled declaratory judgment suits for major insurance companies and insurance guaranty associations with issues ranging from fact questions affecting an individual policy to questions of policy language construction potentially affecting millions of claims.
We have worked with insurance representatives on legislative issues involving civil litigation before the Ohio Legislature. Our attorneys have provided testimony to the Legislature and worked with lobbyists to help them to deal with the issues involved in various types of complex civil litigation.
