Sue Sikkema has over 25 years experience in various areas of law, including commercial litigation, medical malpractice defense actions, and mass tort litigation management in state and federal courts. Her experience includes litigation arising out of a complex acquisition, an engineering malpractice action arising out of a major outage at a nuclear power plant, trade and service mark litigation, defense of malpractice actions on behalf of a hospital, and an ERISA action against a third-party administrator on behalf of a self-insured health plan.  
She supervises discovery nationally and manages the defense of asbestos litigation in various southern states on behalf of a Fortune 500 client.

Ms. Sikkema is admitted to practice in the Ohio State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S.Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Sikkema is a member of the Toledo and Ohio State Bar Associations.

Ms. Sikkema received both her A.B. and her M.A. with honors from the University of Michigan.  She also received her J.D. with honors from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a member of the Michigan Law Review. After graduating from law school, she served as law clerk for the Honorable Charles W. Joiner, U.S. District Court for the Eastern
District of Michigan.
